PLCS CUBE
Product data exchange is a key component of today’s technical collaboration between industrials, suppliers, customers, end users… etc. In order to achieve this communication, a standard language is required to avoid the development of many specific interfaces. The PLCS standard is a suitable answer.
To facilitate the adoption of such a standard, compliant tools or solutions need to be widely available for the industry. PLCS-Cube is a free out-of-the-box product that can store, import and export PLCS files that conform to the DEX1 AD and Part 28 format. It extends existing applications with the PLCS capabilities.

PLCS Community
The aim is not to define the PLCS standard, as this is done by the OASIS Product Life Cycle Support (PLCS) TC
Our goals are the following:
- Offer an out of the box PLCS software,
- Develop and share common practices around the PLCS standard for industrial solutions
We hope that our community will develop simple and affordable tools that will deploy the PLCS standard.
As the PLCS Standard is vast, we expect to start with tools that comply with DEX D001 AD - Product Breakdown for support (Part 21 & Part28). By doing so we shall bring a straightforward answer to the main and most immediate request of the market.
Everyone is invited to join this effort, contribute or simply use PLCS Cube.
